New Management Structure at Dartford
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Cornford as the new Managing Director of Kenard Engineering Darford. Matt has been with Kenard for nine years.
“I’m excited to be taking on the management of our Dartford facility. My goal is to continue to work closely with our dedicated team to strengthen relationships with our strong portfolio of key accounts, to drive new business initiatives and to ensure that we remain at the leading edge of capability and expertise to be able to exceed the levels of performance expected by our customers”, says Matt Cornford.
Matt joined Kenard in 2004 as Operations Director with a brief to build on the company’s highly successful supply chain management and project management capability. His broad industry experience in production, application and system engineering, having previously held project manager positions at Hitachi Seiki (UK) and then at Fredk Pollard and Co , has proven invaluable in the day to day operations management at Kenard. Matt’s strengths also reside in his ability nurture talent within the team and inform the strategic development of the business, which has led to strong sustained growth and driven a number of improvement initiatives at the Dartford facility. This proven success has made him a natural choice for appointment as managing director.
Planning for the next 50 years
As Kenard enters its fiftieth year, owner and Kenard Group Managing Director Keith Ellis reflects, “I’m delighted to announce that Matt has been promoted to this key position at Dartford as he has established an exemplary track record of leadership, performance and delivery during his time with the company. I believe the longevity and success of Kenard can be attributed, in part, to our ability to evolve and our desire to continuously improve. Matt’s promotion comes at a time when the Group is undergoing wider changes that are intended to build upon our achievements and secure the company’s long term future; ensuring that we are well placed to remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry. This in turn means we can then give the very best to our customers.”
